Every year for the past decade, more and more flights to Belize are being added. You can fly direct to Belize City from Miami, Los Angeles, Charlotte NC, Atlanta, New Orleans, Newark or Houston. There are also direct flights from Mexico and select South American destinations.

Once in Belize City, you'll catch a small plane, or a water taxi, to San Pedro on Ambergris Caye. The staff at The Palms will make your reservations on one of the small propeller plane companies. The flight to San Pedro is less than 30 minutes where the boat ride will last close to one and a half hours.

While in San Pedro the most popular mode of transportation is by golf cart. They can be rented by the hour or the day and can be arranged by The Palms friendly staff. Bikes can also be rented but the most common way of getting around is barefoot along the sandy roads of San Pedro. Water taxis are available to and from most resorts and restaurants on the northern and southern parts of the island. There are also some vehicles used generally as taxis taking people from the airport to their accommodations.
